This age group is clearly the most disenfranchised with the the current political climate.🤷‍♀️🤷

82.8% of #Guatemalans think the general situation of the country has gotten worse in the last 3 years. 😟📉
This is understandable given the backdrop of rising prices and the pandemic.😷
One third of 18-29 year olds however are optimistic about Guatemala's future, the highest of all age groups.💁💁‍♀️

We are excited at Pionero Philanthropy to keep growing and working towards Sustainable Development Goal 17. In doing this, we hope that more partnerships result in the achievement of multiple other SDGs.

Today, we're celebrating International Women's Day.
In Guatemala, respect for women's rights is still lagging behind.
This has knock on effects regarding school drop out rates, literacy levels, and economic opportunities.
Thankfully, nonprofit organizations have tremendously supported women and girls all over Guatemala.
These nonprofits have provided resources and tools that enable women and girls to lead more healthy, independent lives.

Meet ARCAS - a Pionero Philanthropy member nonprofit. 💚
ARCAS helps Guatemala's rich wildlife through its rehabilitation and release programs. This amazing nonprofit cares for over 500 animals both at their coastal center and in the rainforest center further north.
Thanks for all you do to protect Guatemalan wildlife, ARCAS. We're proud to partner with you.
